Neighborhood Association

Whittier Community CenterThe Whittier Neighborhood Association (WNA) has been in existence for over 20 years. It began as a small group of concerned neighbors working together to create a safer and healthier environment in which to raise their families and live. The group has grown and goals have been added, but improving the neighborhood is still a top priority for the WNA. Your membership and participation are encouraged and welcomed! Take a look at some of our past accomplishments.

WNA meetings provide speakers on issues affecting the community as well as providing a place where residents may promote events and activities, and meet one another. Minutes from past meetings are available below.

If you would like to speak at a monthly WNA meeting, please contact Cathy Calder at chc@blondedesign.com.

WNA Monthly Meetings • Third Wednesday of every month • 6:30 PM • Whittier Community Center · 2900 Downing Street, Suite 1B

WNA Safety meetings provide an opportunity for Whittier residents to speak in detail to District police officers about issues they may have around their home or business. Anyone is welcome.

WNA Safety Meetings • Third Wednesday of every month • 6:00 PM • Whittier Community Center · 2900 Downing Street, Suite 1B

The WNA also publishes a newsletter, The Whittier Neighborhood Spotlight, each month. Volunteers distribute the newsletter to all homes in Whittier. Past issues of the newsletter are available below.

Time-sensitive information is distributed via an e-mail list called The Flashlight. If you'd like to receive The Flashlight, sign up here.

Please join us by becoming a member today! Join online here or at one of the monthly meetings.
